We are working on a post-off at Shelterrific.com where you talk about how you combined decorating with your significant other or anyone you share a home with. Luckily, Dave and I were quite compatible on this front. However, he insisted that I include our 150-pound longhaired mastiff in this photo. As he put it, the biggest influence on home decor he had on me was getting me to accept that a giant dog would always be part of our lives. And, of course, there's our dog's very fitting name, that was Dave's inspiration: Sofa. See notes for more.

45:365 Happy Valentine's Day

45:365 Happy Valentine's Day

Kyle had to work on Valentine's Day which was such a bummer. So I thought I would take the opportunity & surprise him with dinner. I knew with only an hour lunch break heading to a sit down restaurant wouldn't work, especially on a night like Vday, so I chose Chipotle. We both really like that place & it's really close to his work. I called them up & told then my story & asked if I could come in & decorate a table for us. They were more than willing to let me.

On Vday I got all dressed up in my fave little black dress. I went to Chipotle & decorate a table just for us. I went into Kyle's work & surprised him. He had NO idea. Then I took him over to Chipotle. He didn't see the table at first & was shocked when he saw it. The people at Chipotle were AWESOME & even comped our food! How nice. They even took our picture for us & for their company news letter!

Yay! I think Vday was a hit this year!
